And Akimi Fukuhara, a pianist who is highly acclaimed for her collaborations with famous masters both in Japan and abroad. The two, who are active around the world, have formed a new duo, 'Les Ailes'! This time, their commemorative first album, named after the duo, has finally been released by TeeTok Records! The name of the duo and the album, 'Les Ailes', was chosen by the listeners of the music radio station OTTAVA, and means 'wings' in French. It is filled with the hope that music will become wings, free people's hearts, and fly as far as the eye can see. And it is the 'wind' that makes these wings soar high, that is, the presence of the listeners. The performers and the audience resonate with each other, creating a moment when music comes to life. This album is alive with performances that value such a lively feeling. The tracks on this album are carefully selected masterpieces that allow you to enjoy the sophisticated romance and lyricism of 19th century French music, focusing on the two great sonatas by Cesar Franck and Guillaume Lecou, known as the pinnacle of violin sonatas. In Franck's sonata, the two outstanding ensembles vividly depict the process in which a meticulously constructed motif changes and becomes a magnificent life story. Meanwhile, in Lecou's sonata, the passion and conflict of the composer who lived a short life of only 24 years are sublimated into sweet melodies and deep lyricism, and the fresh sensibility of the young composer resonates sadly but powerfully. In addition, the graceful 'Capriccio' composed by Cecile Chaminade and the 'Serenade Espanol,' reminiscent of a paradise bathed in sunshine, add a fresh color to the album. The trust and resonance that has been cultivated over the years between Mai Suzuki and Akimi Fukuhara, two notable musicians active both in Japan and abroad, has breathed new life into these masterpieces! The 'wings' that music creates will free the hearts of those who listen to it as freely as possible. This is an exquisite album that is filled with such a wish.
